The wall consists of a single row of 13 stones set in mud mortar with some smaller stones filling the joints. The stones vary considerably in size and shape, comprising roughly dressed rectangular blocks with flat faces as well as irregular undressed stones. A line of smaller, rough stones (J4f148) was found resting on top of the wall. In its western portion, the wall appear to be disturbed, with some larger gaps between the stones. In contrast, in the eatern portion is well preserved, with the stones carefully aligned and more regular in shape and dimensions. The presence of flat, angular stones suggests that some may have been reused from a staircase. The wall follows the same orientation and alignment as the underlying ^wall3. However, no physical relationship between the two walls could be observed. The wall was reused as base for the mudbrick walls of ^bin1. [Input: ZK630pC.j] |
